New starters in the Xn team

David Chan, Escalation Analyst I worked as an IT auditor in Hong Kong before I immigrated to the UK with my family. I began my career in England initially as a Contractor with an employment agent, I then moved to Equitable Life, an insurance company where I worked in their IT department for 13 years as a Developer, practicing the process of System Development Life Cycle, followed by Application Production Support before joining Xn Leisure. As my past experience was mainly in areas of mainframe systems and financial applications, I am very keen to broaden my horizons and make a contribution to other product sectors like the leisure industry in my next stage of career growth.

Mike Coombes, Software Developer I joined Xn as a software developer mid-way through November. Before Xn I was the DevOps engineer for Zinc Ahead Ltd based in Oxford and temporarily took lead of the Application Services team in both the UK and US offices. While at Zinc I found my key skills to be implementing processes and optimising existing processes as well as building on my communication skills. I now look forward to taking the next step forwards in my fledgling career with Xn.

Tom Hedge, Junior Developer I started my career as a market analyst for a consultancy in the pharmaceutical industry working for a FTSE listed client, tracking products on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis in the EMEA region. I stayed in this role for 5 years and more recently I have worked as a data analyst in the clinical trials management and facilities management industries. Whilst working as a data analyst I completed a Masters course in computing which confirmed my interest in becoming a developer.

Rajpaul (aka Raj) Panch I have worked at various companies but my main career stems from RM where I worked in Sales Order Entry from 1996 to 2002. I moved to First Response Group in Support and then CMS (Central Managed Services) in 2007, supporting managed support customers and BSF (Buildings Schools for Future Projects). RM had purchased Easytrace as part of the BSF project and I moved to Easytrace to help out with overflow of the support queue. In 2012 Jonas Group purchased Easytrace (Cashless Catering) and I became a 2nd line Support Engineer at Easytrace and Transact (Cashless Catering) which in 2014 changed its name to AMI Education. I have just joined Xn as a Technical Implementation Analyst and I am looking forward to my new role.

Karen Brewin, Escalation Analyst I have 6 years’ experience in retail based customer service and 2 years in the financial industry. I have transferred over from the education sector where I spent just over 18 months covering first line, second line and hardware support. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about the leisure sector from my colleagues in the first line team as well as the rest of the team at Xn Leisure.

Useful tip from our Professional Services team

On the booking sheet instead of using the up and down arrows at the bottom of the screen, you can click on the grey area at the top of the booking sheet (where the lane/ court names are) and then use the scroll button on the mouse. It makes it much easier!
