New starters in the Xn team

David Wells  Developer   I joined Xn Leisure as a Developer at the beginning of October 2016 after relocating to the local area. I graduated this summer with a 1st class degree from Loughborough University, where I studied a 50/50 split between Computer Science and Business Management modules. Whilst this is my first graduate role, I have previously worked as a software developer within the healthcare sector and also as a part-time web developer. Xn Leisure have provided me with a welcoming and supportive environment and I am looking forward to the coming months and the opportunities and challenges that they will bring.

Alex Walters  Customer Support Analyst  On 5th December 2016 I joined Xn Leisure as a 1st line support analyst. Previous to this, I worked as a 1st line support technician for just under 2 years within a small company in Didcot supporting a variety of different pieces of software including Microsoft Office applications, StorageCraft - Shadow Protect (Backup Software) and PhoneManager. Also I handled the setting up and installing onsite of all new desktops/laptops that were purchased through us. I haven’t been at Xn long, however I am positive I am going to enjoy my time here working with new and diverse software.

Yamuna Adepu  Junior Tester  I joined Xn Leisure as a Junior Tester at the end of October. I am a certified (ISEB) Test Analyst with over 1 year's experience working on client-server and web applications on .Net platform. Before Xn I worked for an insurance company where I performed testing on their financial applications. It has already been over a month working on Xn’s products and I am enjoying the challenges.

Xn support tip - Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base contains a mixture of workarounds, how to's and general information. Please use the “Was this article helpful to you?” tick options to feedback about individual articles. Alternatively, please raise a "Request for information" ticket. For any additional feedback you have in general about the Knowledge Base, suggestions for new articles perhaps.

You can access the Knowledge Base via the hub at the following address

https://xnleisurecustomersupport.na1.teamsupport.com/login/user

You can also request access to the hub via the “Create an account” button to raise a variety of tickets at this address.

PIDs and Extranet access

You can now log your PIDs (Product IDeas) via Team Support – simply select ‘PID’ as the ticket type, as with the emailed PIDs, please provide detailed information of your requirements and the business case for the change. Additionally, you can now request access to the Xn Extranet, or password resets, via Team Support – select ‘Extranet Access’ as the ticket type. The Xn Extranet enables you to download product documents such as manuals and release notes, and provides User Group information; there is one generic user setup per customer and this can be shared around staff as you see fit.

Xn Leisure Exec User Group - Overview

The Xn Leisure Exec User Group held its final meeting of 2016 in Edinburgh in late November. Each meeting has at least one key focus area for discussion as agreed by the exec user group. During Q1 2017 you can expect your regional chairs to be asking for your feedback regarding enhancement ideas for the Doorwatch module, enriching the product to meet your ever changing needs.

During 2016 the regional meetings were asked for their feedback around the top 10 fixes they would like to see in Advantage. The regional chairs will be feeding back at your next meeting regarding the suggestions which made the top 10 and when you can expect to see them in the software.

Attending these meetings provides the opportunity to openly meet other users, discuss best practices and help to develop the systems to meet and assist in the challenges you face day to day.

During 2017 the Southern user group will resume, chaired by Alan Dow from Surrey Sports Park. Key members of Xn Leisure team will be in attendance to support this meeting, including our new Account Manager for the southern region.

We would like to thank you for your continued enthusiasm and attendance at the regional meetings and the regional chairs for their hard work during the year to ensure the meetings continue to be pro-active and forward thinking. We look forward to seeing you at the meetings during 2017 and sharing with you the new product developed by your user group chairs this year.
